Early voting in B.C. election begins this week in Castlegar

Early voting in British Columbia’s 43rd Provincial General Election begins this week.

Early voting in British Columbia’s 43rd Provincial General Election begins this week.

Castlegar is now part of the newly-created Kootenay Monashee Riding that encompasses the Castlegar area, Trail, Rossland, Fruitvale and Slocan.

Castlegar voters can access advance voting at the Castlegar and District Community Complex (2101 6th Ave,) on Oct. 10-13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Final voting will take place at the same location Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Advance voting will also take place at Brent Kennedy Elementary School (1092 6 Hwy, Crescent Valley) on Oct. 12-13 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Final voting will take place at the school on Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Final voting day polls will also be open on Oct. 19 at Robson Community Hall (3071 Waldie Ave.) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Genelle Community Hall (1205 2nd St, Genelle) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters can also request a vote-by-mail package online at votebymail.elections.bc.ca, by phone at 1-800-661-8683, or in person at any district electoral office. The completed package must be received by Elections BC before 8 p.m. on Oct. 19.
