Sept. 19 marked the eighth year that Golden Life Management held the Anything for Alzheimer’s fundraiser at Castle Wood Village.
The successful event included a pledged walk through the community, a by-donation BBQ, a craft and bake sale, a silent auction and live music with Darcy Dawson.
The walk was led by Castle Wood Village’s Royalty, along with many local community groups who came out to show support. The Beaver Valley Nighthawks hockey team also came out to walk, lend a hand and dance with the seniors.
Total donations over the years are over $40,000 and this year, another $10,000 was raised with all of the funds going directly to the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
