A water quality advisory has been rescinded for the South Slocan Water System.

The advisory, declared March 4 by the Regional District of Central Kootenay, was for South Slocan southwest of Nelson, and includes the Dam Inn across from the community on Highway 3A.

The RDCK said in a statement the advisory is "due to high post-treatment turbidity as a result of rapid snow melt at the spring supply."

The advisory was later rescinded March 7 after the regional district said a leak was repaired to a watermain.
