A Castlegar-area man has been convicted of child sex offences.
Lee S. Bonnell was tried by judge alone at the Nelson Supreme Court. On Jan. 18, Justice Lindsay Lyster found Bonnell guilty of one count of sexual assault involving a minor and one count of sexual interference involving a minor.
He was also charged with one additional count of sexual assault involving a minor and one count of sexual interference involving a minor, but was not convicted of those counts.
The victim can not be named due to a court-ordered publication ban.
Bonnell is next scheduled to appear before the court on Feb. 5 for a pre-sentencing report. A sentencing date has not been set.
