The entire Blueberry community was placed under a Boil Water Advisory for six days after a contractor struck the main that supplies water to the community.

The City of Castlegar says the water disruption was repaired in a matter of hours, but a boil advisory is a normal procedure recommended by Interior Health after any water outage.

Notices were delivered to properties impacted by the advisory.

The advisory was rescinded on May 6 after two separate water quality tests confirmed the water was safe to consume.

For more information contact the city’s civic works team at 250-365-5979.
