With winter road conditions already appearing, West Kootenay highway maintenance and snow plowing provider Yellowhead Road and Bridge (YRB) is asking motorists to report condition issues to them directly and immediately.

Castlegar city councillor Brian Bogle recently met with the company during a stakeholders meeting and was asked to spread the request in hopes that problems can be resolved quicker.

Rather than turning to social media as a first choice, reporting issues to YRB can expedite solutions and improve road safety.

If you are travelling on the highways and you see a section of road in the Kootenay-Boundary region that needs attention call 1-888-630-1420. For issues in the Central Kootenay region, call 1-888-352-0356.  The phones are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

After being out of operation for quite some time, the Drive BC camera at the Paulson Summit is working again. More information on road conditions is available at DriveBC.ca.
