Castlegar burning ban announced

To make a long story short, whatever kind of fires you're used to, don't light them.

Castlegar’s fire chief has a message: Don’t light it.

Due to the hot and dry weather conditions all open burning is prohibited within the City of Castlegar effective 8:00 AM Thursday, August 7, 2014  until further notice. This also includes burning barrels, backyard campfires and fireworks.

The local fire department is grateful for your cooperation.
