Castlegar RCMP are looking for witnesses after local election signs were vandalized.

According to police, a number of election signs throughout the area have been damaged or removed.

Sgt. Monty Taylor says it does not appear that any one candidate is being targeted as many have been affected.

Police warn that it is a criminal code offence to unlawfully remove or damage an election sign.

Castlegar RCMP are asking people to call police should they have any information or witness anyone damaging property. Contact the Castlegar detachment at 250-365-7721.
