A Castlegar resident remains in custody after being denied release by the courts.

Bradley Shane Morehouse, 53, is accused of trafficking narcotics after Castlegar RCMP executed two separate search warrants on his property in October 2018 and again in October 2019.

Morehouse was subsequently charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and failing to comply with a recognizance of bail.

Morehouse has been held in custody since Oct. 9 and has made seven court appearances to date.

On Dec. 2 Morehouse appeared in Nelson Court and was again ordered to remain in custody.

A publication ban is in place, and as such no further information will be released.

Morehouse is next scheduled to appear in Castlegar Court Dec. 18.
