Zellstoff Celgar will be conducting an evacuation drill on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
The company sent out a release on Friday informing the public that sirens and alert systems will be activated for approximately 15 minutes and afterwards an all-clear alarm will sound.
“This evacuation drill is part of Celgar’s regular testing procedures to ensure that all mill emergency sirens and alarm systems are functioning correctly and to practice the safe evacuation of all mill employees,” reads the release.
Celgar says its unlikely the sirens will be heard in the community, but if you do hear them please don’t be alarmed.
