Celgar pollution case judgement put on hold

The judgement for the Celgar pollution case has been reserved by Judge Mrozinkski in Grand Forks Court today. That means the judgement will be handed down at a later date.

The charges are related to a pollution spill that occurred in 2008 at the Zellstoff-Celgar Pulp Mill in Castlegar. Zellstoff-Celgar was found guilty of depositing effluent that was lethal to trout in the Columbia River. She also found the company guilty on two other counts related to their permitted effluent levels.by Judge Mrozinski on Feb. 16.
