City of Castlegar launches new website

Updated, easier to use site goes live

Submitted by City of Castlegar

The City of Castlegar has launched a new website, with a fresh design and layout to give people quick access to information and services they need and want.

The new site launched earlier this month and allows for new city services to be added and expanded over time. The project was necessary because the city’s old site was built using older technology and was nearing its end of life.

The website receives about 70,000 visitors a year.

“When we surveyed residents, they told us they had a hard time finding information on our old website and it was frustrating, so we knew we needed to make updates,” says communications manager, Bree Seabrook. “We’re really happy to launch the city’s new site which will improve the online experience for taxpayers and people looking for Castlegar information.”

The city wants to make sure the site works well so they want to hear your feedback.

“Let us know what you find useful and what you would like to see improved,” says Seabrook.
