Clearing the Way

Ken Benyon (left) and Al Middleton (to his right) of Habitat for Humanity stand with (continuing to the right) Duayne Nesbitt, Brad DeBlock and Jeff Kernohan of Kodiak Tree Service, who donated their services and took down a pair of 120-foot Douglas-fir trees on a lot of land which will soon become the site of the first Habitat for Humanity home construction in Castlegar. The non-profit organization is still looking for volunteers to help clear the lot and eventually build a house.
