Drivers entering Castlegar, B.C. from east on Hwy 3, have likely noticed a significant portion of the ground on the exit ramp has given way.
Reached by telephone Thursday, March 7, Gerry Popoff of EMCON Services Inc., said they are aware of the problem with the road.
The area where the ground has collapsed falls under the responsibility of the City of Castlegar (a "curb and gutter area"), but an agreement has been worked out and EMCON will fix it when weather allows.
