There were festivities from sunrise to sunset in Castlegar on July 1, 2013.

After a leisurely breakfast at the Station Museum, (see previous story and gallery) things got going again at the Kiwanis Field near the Community Complex.

There were food vendors, face painters, entertainers, a giant movie screen and lots of Canada-related edibles, chairs and clothing.

More than that, though, it was perfect weather for everyone to unwind and enjoy the summer sun.
