Nakusp mayor Karen Hamling has been re-elected by acclamation to her second term as chair of the Regional District of Central Kootenay board.

The chair and vice chair of the regional district serve one-year terms.

The board also cast secret ballots to re-elect Castlegar mayor Lawrence Chernoff over one other candidate, Area E director Ramona Faust.
