Heat wave about to hit Castlegar hard

The summer heat is coming in full force this weekend.

The summer heat is coming in full force this weekend with the temperature expected to top out at 40 C on Friday.

The Weather Network is calling for a high of 39 C Thursday and 40 C on Friday. For those wondering, 40 C equals 104 F.

It’s expected to “cool down” to 38 C on Saturday and 37 C on Sunday. Come Monday it should drop “way down” to 31 C.

Luckily, the temps are expected to drop to 17 or 18 C overnight to allow some relief.

The average high for this time of year is 26 C.

No significant rainfall is expected over the next week.
