No injuries in SUV vrs deer on Hwy 3 near Castlegar

Deer collision west of Castlegar Sunday morning a reminder to keep alert for fast-moving wildlife.

Police, fire and ambulance were dispatched to a single vehicle collision shortly after 10:30 a.m., seven kilometres west of Castlegar on Sunday, Aug. 11.

No one in the vehicle was injured when the vehicle collided with a deer, which was killed. Traffic was single-lane alternating briefly until the vehicle was towed and emergency crews had completed their work.
