A two-vehicle collision in front of the Chevron station on Columbia Avenue in Castlegar early Sunday morning was "pretty straightforward" according to an RCMP officer on scene.

The driver of a four-door sedan was attempting to turn left at the intersection onto the Highway 3 on-ramp and pulled in front of a small pickup, the officer said.

The incident happened at approximately 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

The officer said one female made her way into an ambulance shortly after the collision, "just to get checked out."
