Concerted acts of vandalism were inflicted on the Robson Wharf sometime between April 10-15th. The Robson Wharf which is greatly utilized by the entire community is maintained by the Castlegar & District Recreation Department (RDCK).
The new wharf was constructed the fall of 2008 at a cost of $35,000. The 2008 wharf replace an aging wooden wharf that was vandalized by fire. In 2010 the RDCK again had to replace many planks due to further vandalism. Cost of repair will be over $2500.
