Healing process underway for motorcyclists hurt on June 1

Recovery is reportedly ongoing for a pair of people seriously injured in a June 1 motorcycle crash near Salmo.

The passenger involved in the crash between a motorcycle and pick-up truck, according to a press release from Sgt. Darryl Little of the RCMP's Kootenay Boundary Regional Detachment, been released from Trail hospital. The 22-year-old Trail resident, though having suffered  significant injuries, is expected to make a full recovery. The male operator of the motorcycle is still recovering in Vancouver Hospital. His injuries, though severe are not considered life threatening.

The cause of the accident, as of June 10, was still under investigation and charges had not been laid as of that date. The names of the individuals involved are not being released by the RCMP at the families request.
