In celebration of National Seniors Day, transit users 65 years and older can ride the West Kootenay Transit System for free on Monday, Oct. 2.

National Seniors Day actually falls on Sunday this year, but the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary, the Regional District of Central Kootenay, the City of Nelson and BC Transit still want to mark the occasion by offering free fare for seniors on all routes the following day.

Seniors just need to present their valid ID when they board the bus.
