Castlegar RCMP are looking for witnesses after thieves broke into a Castlegar sporting goods store.

Sometime between the late evening on Friday, Oct. 7 and the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 8, suspects removed a pane of glass to gain entry into the business and made off with various items.

“The removal of the glass would have taken a certain amount of time” says Sergeant Chris Manseau, media relations officer for the BC RCMP. “Frontline investigators are working closely with partners in the community to determine if specialized tools, or education were factors in this theft.”

Police are asking anyone who observed someone in the area of the 600 block of 18th Street overnight on Oct. 7 - 8 or with other information to contact the police at 250-365-7721.
