Trozzo Creek wildfire info session Saturday for affected residents

Meeting will be hosted by the RDCK and BC Wildfire Service at the Winlaw Hall

The Regional District of Central Kootenay and the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) have invited Lemon Creek and area residents impacted by the Trozzo Creek wildfire to attend a public information session on July 24, according to a news release from the RDCK.

There will be an opportunity for the residents to ask questions.

The session will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Winlaw Hall, 5897 Highway 6.

“This public information session is strictly for those impacted by the Evacuation Order and Alert due to Trozzo Creek wildfire,” the news release states.

A bulletin from BCWS dated July 22 estimates the fire at 2,635 hectares in size, up from 742 hectares on July 20.
