ROBSON — A tree fell and struck a truck on Broadwater Road on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place just east of Marshall Road sometime after 4 p.m. RCMP, firefighters, BC Ambulance and a tow truck responded to the scene.
Firefighters directed single-lane traffic while two ambulances were loaded. They both left the scene with sirens on.
The tree was quite large and appears to have rotted away near the base.
There was no report on the status of the driver or passenger.
Neither West Kootenay Traffic Services, nor the Robson Fire Department were available for comment before press time.
