December 26, 1930 - June 26, 2019
At her choosing, on Wednesday, June 26th, 2019, at precisely 2:22 pm, Adeline Schmidt departed this life. She had her family by her side to witness the bitter-sweet moment as she was released from her suffering. Adeline valiantly fought cancer for over seven years. It continued to erode her body until life became not worth living.
Adeline will be remembered as a strong, loving, caring, generous, always positive and cheerful person who had great faith. She loved to sing. She was a talented artist leaving many expressions of herself for us to remember her by.
Asked recently what she liked best about her life, she said it was her experiences travelling the world. Five times to the middle east including Jordan, Israel, Greece, Italy, Egypt, cruised the Nile, China, India, Japan, the Maritimes, several cruises in the Caribbean all the islands, and the Panama Canal. Adeline is a member of the North of 60 club having crossed the Arctic Circle. Her husband, Ken, was not much of a traveler. He liked the cruises, Hawaii, and Disneyland, but left Adeline to do the other trips on her own.
Adeline was predeceased by her son, Garry (1963), daughter Brenda (1977) and husband Ken (2011). Leaving to mourn her absence are her daughter Beverley, son-in-law Rod, grandchildren Aaron and Alisa (Len), great-grandchildren Shea and Maya and her many friends.
Cremation has taken place. No service at Adeline's request. Bon Voyage Adeline.
