January 17, 2021 was a sad day for the Barisoff Family.
Alex A. entered the world May 13, 1937 at Krestova B.C. and passed away peacefully at Talarico Place.
He leaves behind his wife Helen of 51 years; sons Mike with wife Rhonda, grandchildren Brittany, Paige, and Misha; Mitch with wife Melanie, great-granddaughter Abigail; Alex J., granddaughters Ashtyn, and Rylee; brothers Bill and Margaret and Walter with wife Svetlana; sisters Mabel and Harry Koorbatoff, Verna and Harry Maloff. Also many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alex Z. and Mabel, and in-laws William and Polly Chernenkoff.
Alex was a strong union member of Construction & Specialized Workers' Union, Local 1611. His trade was a pipe layer and he worked on many sub-divisions. His last one was Twin Rivers in Castlegar. His sons are also pipe layers.
Alex was laid to rest January 19 at Krestova Cemetery, with a Doukhobor graveside service.
