Alexander John Kranz died peacefully on September 15, 2018 with his wife of 59 years, Carol, at his side. Along with Carol he leaves to mourn his passing his sons Allan (Dee), Stephen (Denise), and Donald, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Alex was born on April 2, 1934, in Pabianice, Poland, and with his parents and brother, Peter, immigrated to Canada in 1949, settling in the Kootenays. He obtained his training as an Electrician, finishing his career at Cominco, Trail Operations, in 1989.
Alex was a member of local fish and game clubs for many years and was an avid outdoorsman; his favourite days involved catching kokanee at Deer Park.
Alex did not want a funeral, instead the family will welcome friends and neighbours at an open house on Friday, September 21 at #31-2210 Columbia Ave from 1- 4. In lieu of flowers please bring a story about Alex.
