The family of Alice Sanford wishes to announce her death at Silver Kettle Village in Grand Forks on Friday, November 22, 2013. Alice was blessed with 86 years of life and died surrounded by family and care givers of Silver Kettle Village.
Alice was born in Calgary, Alberta to James and Edith Heslop and in 1952 married Thornton (Terry) Sanford. As a registered nurse, Alice worked in Yellowknife, Trail, Castlegar and retired as the Administrator of the former Raspberry-Robson Lodge. In 1959 Alice and Terry moved to Robson and enjoyed 53 years together until his death in 2012.
Left to mourn are her 3 children, Dawne (Gordon) Parslow of Dawson Creek, Lynne (Don) Bollinger
of Lac La Biche, James (Grace) Sanford of Kitimat,
5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place with interment at the Robson cemetery to follow at a later date.
