Anne was raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where she graduated high school and then attended Business College. She spent 2 years working in Toronto and then returned to Prince Albert where she married Thomas William Batting in 1941.
They moved to Trail, BC and stayed there until Tom was enlisted in the army. Anne returned to live in Prince Albert until Tom was discharged in 1945. In 1952 they returned to BC and settled in the Castlegar area.
After 52 years of marriage, Anne was widowed in 1993. In 2002 she met Peter Letkeman and they were married. He subsequently passed away in 2004 and Anne was widowed again.
Anne was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Castlegar. She loved her family, music, crosswords, bingo and had a great sense of humor. Everyone who knew her was blessed by her giving heart and she made the best bread in town! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
