November 3, 1918 - March 16, 2019
Anne was born November 3, 1918 in Honeymoon, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully at Talarico Place on March 16, 2019 at the "young" age of 100!

Anne was raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where she graduated high school and then attended Business College. She spent 2 years working in Toronto and then returned to Prince Albert where she married Thomas William Batting in 1941.

They moved to Trail, BC and stayed there until Tom was enlisted in the army. Anne returned to live in Prince Albert until Tom was discharged in 1945. In 1952 they returned to BC and settled in the Castlegar area.

After 52 years of marriage, Anne was widowed in 1993. In 2002 she met Peter Letkeman and they were married. He subsequently passed away in 2004 and Anne was widowed again.

Anne was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church in Castlegar. She loved her family, music, crosswords, bingo and had a great sense of humor. Everyone who knew her was blessed by her giving heart and she made the best bread in town! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Anne was from a very large family all of whom predeceased her.

Anne is survived by her ten children Gary (Sharon), Carol (Ed deceased), Robert, Sharon, Harold (Patti), Brenda (Dave), Barbara, Beverley (George), Judith (Ken), and Susan; three step-children Ardith, Wia and Robert; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family.

There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, 2 pm at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Castlegar.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anne's memory to Talarico Place in Castlegar, or to any charity of your choice. Castlegar Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
