It is with great sadness that the family of Annie Gascon (Datchkoff) announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on November 19, 2017.

Annie is survived by daughter Marlene (Walter) Swetlishoff, granddaughters Marla (Lyle) Monteith, Michelle Goodwin and Melanie Epp, great grandchildren Kaylan and Breanna, son Phillip (Christine) Datchkoff, granddaughter Lisa (Luke) Lucht, great granddaughters Anika and Aviana, granddaughter Jennifer (Jeff) Craig, son Robert (Lily) Datchkoff and grandson Steven Datchkoff.

Annie was predeceased by her parents Alex and Polly Datchkoff and her brother Gus Detchkoff.

During her younger days, she learned the art of knitting, sewing and crocheting, all skills that she used to create many wonderful gifts for her family throughout her lifetime. She was a very neat and tidy person and truly enjoyed her position of managing Housekeeping for the Sandman Inn.

After her retirement she kept busy looking after her home and garden, which was a joy and passion for her along with the actual canning of the harvest from her garden.

Annie dearly loved her family and proudly displayed pictures of all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, on every available space throughout her home. She left us all with memories we will hold dear forever.

We take comfort in knowing that she told us that both her parents had come to her many times in her dreams, telling her "you can come now'.

May God accept her soul into His heavenly kingdom and may she rest in peace.

The family would like to thank the 3rd Floor West Wing staff at the Trail Regional Hospital for their professional and compassionate care.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Grand Forks Funeral Home. A private celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

Donations in Annie's memory may be made to Iskra Publications, Box 760, Grand Forks, B.C. V0H 1H0 or Chrissy's Place, 1007 2nd St. Castlegar, B.C. V1N 1Y4
