Antonio (Tony) Jose Garcia Silva was born on September 16, 1968 in Castlegar, BC. He peacefully passed away at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on June 14, 2017 alongside his loving wife, Bobbi.
Tony was predeceased by his parents Miguel and Georgina Silva, sister Maria (John), brother Miguel, nephew Tony Martins, and aunts and uncles.
Tony is survived by his wife of seven years Bobbi, son Michael, sister Ana (Helder), brother Joey (Jayme), nephew Kevin (Christine), niece Pamela (Rohan), aunt Margarida, brothers-in-law Allan and family, and Roger (Robin), sister-in-law Pauline (Diane) and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tony spent days that turned into nights and nights that turned into days working as a tow truck driver. Many years and memories later
Tony succeeded in the Heavy Equipment Operators course and found work in Alberta. In the colder months Tony plowed snow for Dynamic Landscaping. Tony was a volunteer fire fighter with the Ootischenia Fire Department, a volunteer with Castlegar Search and Rescue, a member of Citizens On Patrol, an active member of the Kinnaird Park Community Church, and a volunteer with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron 581. In his off time Tony enjoyed fishing/hunting with close friends and Michael and Bobbi.
His family and friends will deeply miss his heart of gold.
A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Kinnaird Park Community Church.
