Arne Magnus Akselson

July 2, 1925 - July 3, 2019
Arne Magnus Akselson passed away peacefully at Castleview Care Centre on Wed. July 03, one day after his 94th birthday.
Arne was born in Vesteraalen, Norway and moved to Canada at 1 year of age with his Mother. He grew up in Saskatchewan with a foster family until he moved West in the mid- 40's. He worked in Kimberley and Trail over the years on the way to Vancouver. In 1951 he married Glenna Rogers and they had 5 children. He worked at various occupations, including construction, around the Province until moving to Castlegar in 1965 to work as a Millwright, where he retired in 1989. He was an avid curler and golfer, a nice guy and a friend.
Arne was pre-deceased by his wife of 56 years, Glenna and his youngest daughter Judy. He leaves Arlene (Erwin), Glenn (Eileen), Allan, Barry, 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great- Grandchildren.
He lived Respected and died Regretted. Skol Pop.

Memorial to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 170 in Castlegar, Saturday, July 13 @ 1 pm.
