It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill John Nazaroff on July 9, 2020 at the Trail hospital at the age of 85.
Bill John Nazaroff was born at home in Ootischenia, BC on April 11, 1935 to parents John and Annie Nazaroff. He attended grade school in Ootischenia and started working as a very young man. His adventures took him to Alberta and Northern BC. Bill and his family spent many summers working in the Okanagan. Bill's last employer was Weststar Timber in Castlegar where he worked for over 30 years. On November 1, 1958 Bill married the love of his life Anne Tomilin. They made their home in Ootischenia where they raised their 3 sons. Bill loved his sports especially playing fastball. Nothing brought him greater pleasure than watching his boys and grand children play slow pitch, hockey, soccer and fastball. He also enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball. Most of all Bill was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Bill was predeceased by his infant sister, new born daughter, mother, father, brother and nephew. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne, sons Billy (Donna), Jim (Chey), Tony (Irina), sister Mary (Mike Kanigan), grand children Lyle, Rebecca, Aarin, Jason and Alexandria, great grand children Katie and Jeremiah and many nieces and nephews.
