Bill was born on January 1, 1932 in the Village #1 at Krestova, BC. His parents were Massey and Nastia (nee Laktin) Antufaeff. He was the third child of five children. Due to his parents strong Doukhobor beliefs, they were arrested and sent to Piers Island for 3 years.
Bill was predeceased by his father Massey in 1978, his mother Nastia in 2001 and his sister Mary Gienger in 1957 and his sister Helen Johnson on December 29, 2019.
Bill leaves behind his daughter Ellen and husband Ron Watson; his son Joe and wife Leanne; his grandson Luke and wife Catherine, and granddaughters Christie Watson and Sarah and Joelle Antufaeff; 2 great grandchildrenElijah and Hannah Watson; sister Nellie Laren and brother John Antufaeff; mother of his children - Lillian Koutny; long-time friend & travelling companion - Elsie Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.
Bill passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Castlewood Assisted Living facility where he resided for the last 6 years.
May he rest in peace in God Heavenly Kingdom.
Due to the State of Emergency here in BC, The Family of William Antufeaff has decided to have a Private Burial and will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date. The family thanks you for your understanding.
