In Loving Memory ~
With broken hearts we announce the passing of our father Bruce Cassidy. Bruce was born in Porcupine Plains, Saskatchewan in 1949 to Oliver and Vera Cassidy. Bruce met Linda Clark in Quesnel, BC and they were married in 1973.
He was a journeyman carpenter, he was certified in construction management and throughout his career, he built over 100 bridges. The family moved to Castlegar in 1991 and Bruce managed many projects in the West Kootenays. He also enjoyed travelling to Mexico to break up the winter and in the summer he enjoyed golfing especially in his fancy golf cart.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Vera, his 2 brothers Lyle and Donald as well as 2 sisters in law Noreen and Audrey.
He is survived by his wife Linda of 50 years; his children Stuart (Pamela), Micheal (Stacey) and 2 grandchildren Anna and Cameron; his brother Wayne and his sisters Viola, Charlotte and Elenor.
There will be a celebration of life at the Genelle Hall on July 23rd at 2:00 pm and an early supper will be provided by Kim's Creations.
