at 10:30am at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Castlegar with Father Clarke officiating. Matt Gallo delivered the very touching and memorable eulogy about their long friendship. Rudy Baff lovingly provided the music and a memorable speech about their shared companionship. Doreen Smecher and Lorraine Gallo gave the readings. Honourary pallbearers were Mary

Bob Ashbury, Ron Horlick and Hugo Smecher.
The C.W.I.C prepared and excellent and
delicious luncheon which was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to everyone who assisted with the service and especially to Father Clarke for his perceptive commentaries. A very special thanks
to Hugo and Doreen Smecher for their ever present guidance, care and love.
Bruce was educated at Stanley Humphries high School, Selkirk College and ICBC of Burnaby. He held a number of positions as draughtsman and surveyor but spent much of his career (32 years) as a lumber grader working for Slocan
Forest Products now called Springer Creek Forest Products. In this position he won a number of awards. Sadly missed by his mother, Bunny Charters,
step-sister Tanya Charters, step-brother Jack and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
