Cheryl Fowler
(nee Cowland), 60, of Castlegar BC, lost her valiant fight against cancer and passed away July 18, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Cheryl had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Cheryl’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Cheryl enjoyed quilting, and recently fell in love with texting to friends as well as shopping, gardening and playing with her only grandchild, Tiana, who gave her unbelievable strength to fight her battle against cancer.
Cheryl is survived by her father, Cleve Cowland of Rossland; devoted husband Phillip Fowler; loving daughter Tamara Maat of Victoria, and granddaughter Tiana Maat.
A memorial service will be held at the Rossland United Church on Friday July 27 at 11:00.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from
too many people to name individually.
