In Loving Memory of a Dear Daughter
God knew you were suffering and He knew that you were in pain
God knew that you would never get well in this world again
As I held your hand in tears,
I saw you sinking and watched you fade away
My heart was also broken
as you fought so hard to stay But when I saw you sleeping,
so peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
to suffer that again
Deep in my heart her memory is kept To love and to cherish
and never to forget
