In Loving Memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Conrad Johan Brattebo "Konki" "Bestefar" "Far Far" "Oldefar" was born on September 2, 1934 in the town of Kopervik, Norway.

Conrad met the love of his life, Malfrid (Molly) in Norway and had their first son Aage in 1956; They moved from Norway to Canada in 1957, where they had two more sons, Terry and Arne. The Brattebo family moved to Port Alberni, Castlegar and Cranbrook, before settling back to Castlegar into their forever home in 1974, where Conrad lived to his last day. Conrad spent many years in the electrical trade before running his own business with his three sons, providing electrical and carpentry services to the Kootenay region.

Conrad was an avid cross-country skier and loved spending time outdoors with his family. Conrad was also a proud member of the Sons of Norway, Legion, Seniors Centre, Nordic Ski Club, Viking Soccer Club and coaching minor soccer.

Conrad is survived by his children Aage (Heather), Terry (Janet) and Arne. His grandchildren Amy, Kari, Kristin, Kayle, Tanner, Megan and Ryder. His great-grandchildren Isaiah, Coal, Amanda, Grayer, Molly and Lorelei.

Conrad was predeceased by his wife Malfrid (Molly) and his sister Lily.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Harald and Magrethe Brattebo, and sister Palma Malfrid Neerland.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made towards the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
