MOTT,
Cora Henrietta “Pearl” (nee - Cartmale)
was born Sept. 23, 1939 at North Oxford Twp. Oxford County, Ontario to parents Ronald and Cora Cartmale. She grew up on her parents farm in Embro, Ontario. In 1955, She met her sweetheart Robert Charles “Bob” Mott and were later married on Jan. 23, 1960 in Embro, Ontario.
In February 1960 they moved to Robson, B.C. where Bob had already bought their home. They were married for 37 years until Bob passed away April 25, 1997. They were blessed with two children Geraldine and Robert.
Pearl was an active member in the Castlegar area with bowling, Cub leader, #170 Legion Member, #46 Seniors Club, B.C. Old-time Fiddlers #9. She
loved camping, gardening, traveling, spending time with her grandkids and of course dancing.
She was predeceased by her sister, Geraldine (1958) and brother Raymond (1972), mother Cora (1993), husband Bob (1997), Father Ronald (1999), sister in law Klaudia Cartmale (2000) Brother in laws Arthur Mott (1996), Bob Nichol
(2001) and Allan Mott (2004).
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Geraldine & husband Bob Sookorukoff of Tarrys,B.C., granddaughters Lindsay & husband Grzegorz Slobodzian of Penticton, B.C., Sarah Clements & Alex Kolatchew of Queensland, Australia: Step- grandchildren Ryan & Kim Sookorukoff of Vancouver, B.C. & Narelle Sookorukoff & Nick Davis of Beasley, B.C. son Robert & Tracy Mott of Robson, B.C.,step-grand-daughter Shawna Steiner & step great-grandson, Aidan Steiner of Castlegar, Brothers Ronald & Marie Cartmale,
Reginald Cartmale, Perry and Bev Cartmale, Robert Cartmale, Gerald & Janis Cartmale, Eugene Cartmale, Sisters Coral & Martin Bardoel, and Darlene and Ken Ulch all of Ontario. Sister-
in-laws Donna Mott of Ontario, Ann Mott of New Denver, B.C., Mary Nichol of Ontario and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and of course many, many friends.
Service will be held on July 20th 2010 at the Castlegar Complex between 10-1:30pm follow by Internment at Robson Cemetery.
