It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darren Jake Sawatsky on Sept 2, 2016 in his Castlegar home.
Born Oct 1, 1963 in Calgary Alberta.
Darren worked in management for the Mackenzie Forest Service. He also worked as a cement mason on a number of dam projects throughout the Kootenays.
His true calling was his work as a tree technician (limb walker).
Darren will be remembered by family and friends as a strong, devoted, loyal man, always ready to lend a helping hand, his thoughtful advice, even his brutal honesty will be treasured.
Predeceased by his dad Will Sawatsky and survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Janine Catalano, mother Karen Randall, sisters Debra and Teri, nephews Mykal and Rylan, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service to held on Wednesday Sept 14th, 1:30 pm at the Robson Community Hall.
