It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Michael Stadler on Dec. 17, 2019; in his 73rd year. He was the youngest son of John and Catherine Stadler who lived in Robson/Castlegar since 1953.
David graduated from SHSS before attending the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson. His never-ending thirst for art, music, history and architecture led him on many journeys around the world and within Canada. David was gentle and kind and never passed up an opportunity to reach out to anyone he felt was less fortunate than himself. Through his quiet nature and unique sense of humour he won the hearts of many.
David is survived by his sons Julian and Ian; siblings Laurel Edwards (Rick), Judith Gallant (John), Lloyd Stadler (Christine) and their extended families. He will remain forever in our hearts and memories.
The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Thibodeau, Dr. Van Vliet, Andrea and the staff at both clinics. Also, to Erika and the Pharmacy staff at Shoppers Drugs in Castlegar. Your kind and caring attention meant a lot to David; he was fond of you all. Thank you as well to Jordan and the Castlegar Funeral Chapel for your guidance at this difficult time. A Celebration of David's life will be announced in the Spring.
