Born on her parents' farm in Meadow Dew Saskatchewan, she was the 7th of 12 children.
Denise married Albert Halbauer in1948 at Paradise Hill Saskatchewan.
They moved to BC in 1951. Living in the East and West Kootenays where they raised their 3 children. Their final move was to Blueberry Creek in 1973. Al passed away in 1996..
Denise enjoyed gardening, bowling, golfing, crocheting, knitting, reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards.
She met Tom Lampard the second love of her life.They enjoyed music, dancing and cruising, travelling to many parts of the world. She lost Tom in 2012.
Although her final years were affected by health challenges she never lost her sense of humour, and enjoyed life and her family.
