RIZZOTTI Dixie (Nelson) was born on November 25th 1938 in Nelson, B.C. and passed away on February 2nd 2013 in the Trail Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by; children Giovanni (Leona), Dwayne, Rocky (Colleen), Collene, Ricky, Monica, Correne Morrell (Randy), Ricardo; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; as well as her sisters; Ardene Palumbo (Clarence), and Deniese Garray (Amil).
She is predeceased by; husband, Johnny (19 days ago); Daryle (Son), brother Ralph Nelson (aka-Sparky).
Dixie was born in Nelson, B.C. It was in Trail at age 17, that she met Johnny Rizzotti and they married on January 8, 1956. They lived in various places early in their marriage, then settled and lived in the Castlegar area the rest of their married life.
Dixie was 57 years a devoted wife to Johnny. The biggest joys in her life were her 9 children. She loved to sew, to knit, to quilt, and best of all the loved to cook. Dixie was best known for those weekly spaghetti dinners every Sunday. You were always welcome. And you haven’t lived until you tasted one of her delicious pies.
She will be dearly missed.
