We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Doris Nazaroff on January 16 2017 at the age of 80, after a long struggle with cancer.

She was born in Lundbreck, Alberta on October 16 1936. At the age of twelve she and her family moved to Slocan Park, BC. She married Mike Nazaroff at the age of 20 and thereafter had seven children. Most of her adult life was spent in South Slocan, BC. Her passions were drawing, reading, cooking, flowers, gardening, canning, crocheting and embroidering. She always was fond of recalling her childhood on the farm and her love for horses. She was a committed mother, always prepared to sacrifice for her children. She will be greatly missed.

Doris is survived by her son Michael (Lois) Nazaroff, son Andy (Kathy) Nazaroff, son Wallace Nazaroff, daughter Nataline (Mike) Swift, daughter Sonia Nazaroff and daughter Holly (Terry) Burrows, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Mike Nazaroff, daughter Shirley and her two children.

We would like to thank the third floor staff at the Kootenay Lake Hospital for their patience, kindness and professional care of our mother during her stay there.

A service will be held at the Crescent Valley Hall on Friday, January 20 2017 at 10 AM, followed with burial at the Krestova cemetery and luncheon at the hall. Arrangements are under the direction of the Grand Forks Funeral Home
