With sad hearts the family of Doris Tomilin announces her passing at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 21, 2018, blessed with 89 years of life.
Doris was born in Rossland on September 16, 1928 to parents John and Annie Konkin. She married John Tomilin on January 20, 1946 and together they raised 4 children. During her life, Doris worked such a variety of jobs. She always loved doing all kinds of crafts, knitting, gardening, and puzzles to keep her busy.
Doris was loved by all and had many friends. Her generosity, kindness and smile will be dearly missed.
Left to mourn her loss are daughters Eileen (Ken) Paul and Dorothy (Sid) Fleebe, sons Cliff (Vicki) and Jack (Shelley) Tomilin, sister Vera (Dick), Fred Tomilin, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Doris was predeceased by her husband John Tomilin, and grandson Colin Paul.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
