It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Dusty. Dusty was born December 15, 1980 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and left us way too soon on November 29, 2016, in Richmond, B.C.

Dusty loved his family and friends unconditionally, and had a special bond with his nephew, Ryan-Lucas. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about mountain biking, building trails and snowboarding.

Dusty was a prolific songwriter, a lover of the arts, loved playing guitar and loved life.

Dusty had many accomplishments to be proud of. Some of which include being a member of the Armed Forces From 2009 – 2011; In the summer of 2016, Dusty rode in the B.C. Bike Race in Powell River; he took the Multimedia Course at the Nelson Campus; and while living in Toronto, Dusty rescued cats from the SPCA until a home could be found for them.

Dusty is survived by his mother Barb Tallant, father Mick Tallant, sister Jackie Tallant, nephew Ryan-Lucas Tallant, grandmother Millie Nykiforuk, and a huge Saskatchewan family.

Dusty is predeceased by his grandfather Adolph Nykiforuk, grandmother Mary Nykiforuk, grandfather Harry Tallant and grandmother Hannah Tallant.

A service, followed by a luncheon, in Dusty’s honour will be held Saturday, December 17th, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Pentecostal New Life Assembly in Castlegar, with Pastor James McFaddin Officiating. Interment will be at the Steep Creek cemetery in Saskatchewan, at a later date.
