Dylan Charles Belanger

January 27, 1982 - July 5, 2021
On Monday, July 5, 2021 an Angel got his Wings...leaving us to mourn.
We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved Dylan Charles Belanger passed away suddenly at the age of 39 years.
Dylan was born January 27, 1982 in Castlegar, BC to Michael Belanger and Sandra Belanger (Makortoff). He was the youngest of 2 boys. Years later, after his parents divorced, Dylan gained another brother named Oliver from his father's side.
Dylan was a very happy child and loved his family. He had a boisterous laugh, a contagious bright smile, a big kind heart, always quick to forgive and always looked at the positive side of life. He was loved by so many!
In his younger years he loved to play sports such as hockey, slow-pitch, baseball, golf, badminton and mountain biking with his brother Dave and friends. He loved to swim and play in the backyard pool. He also loved to play the drums, trying to keep up with his talented big brother. He had a great love for his family and cherished all the good times together.
Sadly, life became unkind for Dylan early in his life. He had many struggles and harsh difficulties to battle with.
Left to mourn him and lovingly remembered by his parents Michael Belanger (Tracy), Sandra Belanger (Al), his brother David Belanger, his half-brother Oliver and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dylan was predeceased by his grandparents Donald Belanger, Vallaree Belanger, William Makortoff and Mary Zaitsoff and by his uncle Gary Makortoff.

A casual Celebration of Life will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 14, 2021 at 1 pm
At the SANDMAN HOTEL CASTLEGAR - 1944 Columbia Ave, Castlegar, BC V1N 2W7
Light snacks will be served.
