The family of Edward Alfred Flynn wishes
to announce his passing at the Talarico
Place Care Centre on Sunday, May 23,2010, blessed with 86 years of life.
Ed was born on a farm outside of Fir Mountain, Saskatchewan, on September 21, 1923 to parents Sarah and John Flynn.
He married Irene Ayotte and they raised eight children. In 1965, the family moved to Castlegar, where Ed gained employment, as a Lab Technician at the Celgar pulp mill.
He worked for the pulp mill until he retired.
Throughout his life, Ed enjoyed bowling, golfing, baseball, spending time with his family, especially family reunions and his participation in the Knights of Columbus.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Irene, precious daughter Sadie, brothers Ron and Mac and his best friend Waldo.
Left to mourn his loss are his children Tom, John (Sandy), Linda (Rick), Betty (Warren), Margaret (Pete), Ron (Michelle) and Shauna (Vern), nineteen grandchildren, 10 great-grand- children, two brothers, one sister and many other
relatives and friends.
Cremation was in care of Castlegar Funeral Chapel.
A Celebration of Life was held at
St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Castlegar
on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM
with a luncheon held after the service.
